DN Estates Limited is a family run business situated in the historic market town of Pudsey.  DN Estates provides independent specialist advice to its large customer base whether they are buying, selling, renting or simply seek professional advice.

Brief:

With an increase in property sales and evaluations, DN Estates looked towards IT to help them become more productive.  Employees were constantly in and out of the office completing viewings and evaluations alike.  It became increasing difficult to find time to complete administration work during the day time.        
David Naylor, Managing Director said “every working day is hetic, we are continually going from one property to the next and we need a solution which will help us cope with the strains that this is putting on other areas of the business.  No sooner have we returned to the office to complete paper work and we’re back out the door complete another viewing or evaluation.”

Solution:

After several meetings with DN Estates, San-IT were able to offer a solution that matched DN Estates criteria and business operations. San-IT implemented a Microsoft 2003 Small Business Server and upgraded all client workstation to Microsoft Windows XP Professional. 
We then configured the firewall and server for secure remote access which allowed access to office based resources whilst on the move.  This included access to emails, calendar items, document access and bespoke software access.
We also gave the ability to create WAV files (audio files) so employees could create an itinerary for properties being valued, whilst physically at the property, directly onto their laptops. This allowed files and information to be sent directly to the office in real time so internal staff could process the property on to the various advertising mediums within minutes.
